Using Wisconsin Civil Service Exam Centers
In association with Wisconsin Civil Service, exams are administered 12 times each year, at 8:30 a.m. on the second Saturday of each month in 10 communities statewide (see chart). We will notify applicants of the date, time and location of the examination approximately 10 calendar days before the exam. Within 10 working days after the exam, we will send you alphabetical and rank-ordered lists of applicant scores.
Processing Testing Requests
In order to process your request for testing, please submit the following:
Please submit your order by the end of the day, three Mondays prior to the exam date (see chart). We prefer your applicant list to be electronically sent to us for processing. We can e-mail a list template for you to use, or you can download the template. Please use our general mailbox, wpp@wisconsin.gov to e-mail your list. Your applicant list should include: social security number, last name, first name, middle initial, address, city, state, and zip code. You may assign your applicants to an exam site, otherwise, we can assign a convenient location. If you cannot e-mail, fax it to us at (608) 267-1000. For orders where social security numbers are not provided there will be an additional fee of $75.00.

Make-Up Exam Centers are Available
Consideration is given to applicants unable to attend normal exam dates due to religious belief, military duty or an unavoidable personal crisis. They may test on the following Monday at 5:00 p.m. Make-up centers are held in Eau Claire, Madison, and Milwaukee only. To register, the applicant may call an automated line at (608) 266-3637. The exam time and location is provided on this recording. If military duty prevents the applicant from testing on either of the dates your approval is required to arrange an alternate date, preferably before scheduled exam date. We ask that you call (608) 266-1088 to speak to a Wisconsin Personnel Partners representative.
Accommodations for People with Disabilities
With your written approval, we will provide reasonable accommodations for applicants with disabilities. The decision to allow a special accommodation is yours. We recommend that the disability and type of accommodation required should be verified by a physician or qualified professional, however, that, too, is your decision. Examples of accommodations for which there would be no additional cost include a reader, a writer, large print exams, and tables to accommodate wheel chairs. If you wish to provide other types of accommodations or interested in knowing what other accommodations could be provided, please contact a Wisconsin Personnel Partners Representative at wpp@wisconsin.gov or (608) 266-1088. We have a form available for special accommodations that you are more than welcome to use (Special Accommodation Form). In order to ensure that we can provide the special accommodation we require at least 10 days notice prior to the exam date.
